Harry James Turner

Harry James Turner, 76, of Osceola, died Jan. 23, 2019, at SMC Medical Center in Osceola. He was a farmer. Mr. Turner was born March 22, 1942, in Victoria to Samuel and Pearl Robinson Turner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Leola Turner, his son Harry Turner, Jr. and his sister Betty Turner.

He is survived by one son David (Angela) Turner of LaPasa, Texas; five daughters, Carla (Jackie) Bowen, Carolyn Turner, Betty Dancy, Mary (Alvin) Russell and Eddie Mae Turner of Osceola; one sister, Vanette Turner of Memphis, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, with the funeral at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery in Evadale with Rev. Larry Hill officiating.
