Mr. Ronald Van Hannon

Mr. Ronald Van Hannon was born on May 2, 1947 and was raised in Blytheville. He attended Gosnell and Blytheville Schools, and graduated from Blytheville High in 1965. He lived and worked in Blytheville before moving to Memphis, Tennessee where he was employed in the field of sales. Ron served his country for six years in the United States Army Reserve. He eventually moved to Saint Simons Island, Georgia where he was then employed by the Community Church of Saint Simons Island. There, he married and is survived by his wife, Jeanne Hannon. Ron was a communing member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church and served as a deacon.

He passed away on December 25, 2017 and is survived by two daughters, Brandi Hannon of Myrtle Beach, SC and Brooke Hannon Cotham (Brady) of Memphis, Tenn.; granddaughters, Alyssa Cotham and Avri Cotham and grandson, Cason Cotham, all of Memphis; brother, Jim Hannon (Juanita) of Blytheville; sisters, Patsy Hannon Clifft (Dave) of Jonesboro and Vicki Hannon, Blytheville; nieces, Amanda Hannon Johnson, New York, NY and Cammie Clifft Adams (Andy), Jonesboro; nephews; Jimmy Hannon (Susanna), Dallas, Texas and Jay Clifft (Bridgett) of Jonesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Barbara Hannon of Blytheville.

With his winning smile, Ron never met a stranger. What he loved most was making a positive difference in the lives of others. Leading people to Christ in his own special way endeared him to many. Life will never be the same here without him. Heaven is rejoicing!

Services will be Friday, December 29, 2017 in Georgia at Saint Simons Island Community Church. Visitation starts at 10 a.m. with services starting at 11 a.m.
