James Winford Farmer, 80, of Blytheville, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Born to Clyde and Mamie Farmer, James was a retired, honorable veteran of the United State Air Force. He served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. Mr. Farmer was a member of the American Legion and NCOA. James was also a member of Pathway Ministries. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Farmer; his parents; and daughter, Nadine Farmer Cavanaugh.

James is survived by his children, J. Ashley Farmer of Blytheville, Genine Crosby and her husband Howard of Sherrill, Arkansas, Debbie Schreiber and her husband Robert of Salem, Indiana, and Rhonda McLevain of Wellington, Kansas;

His brother, Clyde E. Farmer, Jr. of Mary Ester, Florida;

9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one step-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 2nd at 10:00 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Rigney officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
