Mr. Gary Dean Tanner, 63, of Blytheville, passed from this life on Friday, October 23, 2015 at his home. Born to the late Bill and Geneva Crabb Tanner in Portland, Oregon, he was a disabled Veteran having served his country with honor in the United States Army. Gary proudly served two tours in Vietnam and will always be a true hero and American Patriot. He was an individual who was dedicated to and loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren who affectionately called him "G PA".

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen Tanner, his mother, Geneva Mays, and his father Robert Mays who raised him.

Mr. Tanner leaves his son, Harley Tanner and his fiancée Brooke Carr;

One daughter, Abra Holifield and husband Brian, all of Blytheville;

Two siblings, Debbi Mays of Steele, MO and Bobby Mays and wife Ellen of Gosnell;

Five grandchildren, Alayna Carr, Malachi Kinsey, Kayden Kinsey, Blake Kinsey, and Jake Kinsey, all of Blytheville;

Many nieces, nephews and a host of other brother and sister veterans who proudly served their country.
