Dorothy Mae Robertson, 83, of Osceola, died of heart failure on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

Born May 7, 1931, in Wilsonk, she was retired from Gilster Mary Lee and a member of Wilson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where she was the oldest living member and sat on the motherboard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ashley Shannon and Frances Mae Freeman Willis; her sisters, Bernice Johnson and Minnie Bray; and her brothers, Roy Baker and Hugh Shannon.

Ms. Robertson leaves her special friend, Richard Bogan of Osceola;

One daughter, Gloria Lowery (James) of Benton Harbor, Michigan;

Two sisters, IV Jackson and Bobbie Mays of Toledo;

One brother, Leon Shannon of Cascade, Montana;

Two grandchildren, Jeff Robertson of Luxora and Jacinda Lowery of Atlanta; and

Five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.

Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Waldo Campbell, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery.
