Cade Allan Christie, 25, of Manila, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, near Manila, from injuries received in an auto accident. Born in Paragould, he was a 2006 graduate of Manila High School, had lived much of his life in Manila, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Cade recently completed his training as an Emergency Medical Technician at Arkansas Northeast College in Paragould. He loved to play guitar and recently recorded an album with the band "Fates Undertaking." Cade was a big man with a big heart. He had a warm kindness for people and children in need. Cade was often teased by friends and family for working out, and he loved football, movies, and going mudding after a rain. He leaves many friends that will miss him dearly as he could always bring a smile on a bad day. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jack Christie.

Surivivors include his father, Allan Christie of Walnut Ridge and his mother, Ginger Christie and her husband, Ferrell Kosechata, of Manila;

His maternal grandmother, Janice Crooms of Manila, and his paternal grandmother, Melba Christie of Paragould.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with the Rev. Jerry Pentecost officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery. Pallbearers will be L. B. Yates, Zakk Crocker, Nathan Greer, Kyle White, Larry Perkins, Josh McCallie, Justin Ford, and Frankie Pierce. The family will receive visitors from 12:30 p.m. until service time today.
