Edward Guy Carter
Mr. Edward Guy Carter, 68, of Blytheville, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012, in Blytheville. Born July 20, 1943, in Osceola, he was a truck driver, an Army veteran of Vietnam, and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Carter and Lillie Edwards; and his sister, Millicent Carter.
Mr. Carter leaves two daughters, Shirl Carter of Atlanta and Doris Carter of Blytheville;
Four sisters, Verlene Palmore and Dorothy Carter of Blytheville, Francis Oliver of Memphis, and Naomi Hastings of Indianapolis, Ind.;
Five brothers, Albert Carter, Charles Carter, and Ronnie Carter of Blytheville, Willie Carter of Elkhart, Ind., and Robert Carter of Madison, Wisc.; and
Five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive visitors from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, March 24 at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Homer O'Neal, will begin at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
