Maxie Lanell Forshee, 86, of Blytheville, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Born June 19, 1921 in Stone County to the late Rufus Forshee and Dottie Lindsey Forshee, she was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. She loved flowers, gardening and taking care of her disabled daughter, Kay.

Survivors include two nephews, Hilson Harris and wife, Pat, of Independence, Mo., and Eddie Harris and wife, Colleen of Memphis, Tenn.; a niece, Brenda Wells and husband, Charles of Pensacola, Fla.; three brothers, Jodie Forshee of Blytheville, Monroe Forshee of Mountain Home, R.D. Forshee of Kalamazoo, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kay Austin; two sisters, Bertha Poff and Rosetta Curtis; three brothers, Elvis Forshee, Willard Forshee, and Herbert Forshee.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Blytheville with Rev. Allen Rainey officiating.

Faith Funeral Service of Manila was in charge of arrangements.
