Myrtle Viola Holland - Monette

Myrtle Viola Holland, 82, of Monette, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was a homemaker and of the Prostestant Faith. She had lived in the Moentte area most of her life.

She is survived by four sons, Albert Blackwell of Pocahontas, Steve Holland of Monette, Bobby Holland of Arbyrd, and James D. Holland of Defuniack Springs, Fla; four daughters, Helen Lohden of Robertsville, Mo., Reba Holland of Cottondale, Fla., and Karen Tomblin of Avon Park, Fla., and Patricia Joshlin of Jonesboro; a sister, Flossie Meikle of Harrisburg; 28 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Holland; two sons, Billy Joe Holland, and Buford Ray Holland; a daughter, Violet May Holland; and two brothers, Ernest and Clifford Brannon.

The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Terry Miller officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.
