Thomas A. Cooper - Lake City

Thomas A. Cooper, 80, of Lake City died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2001, in Jonesboro. A retired school teacher and an Army Veteran of World War II, he lived in Hawthorne, Nev., before moving to Hardy and then Lake City in 1983.

Survivors include a son, Mickey Cooper of Memphis; Tenn.; a daughter, Lois Griffith of Lake City; a sister, Joy Compton of Paragould; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge. Burial was private.
