Director Mark Key was not available at the time of the meeting, so committee chairman Councilman L.C. Hartsfield reported that Barker Brothers should start the McHaney overlay project within the next week to 10 days. Blytheville School Board makes dress code clarification

The Blytheville School Board held a special meeting Monday for policy revisions and review of the student handbook. During the meeting, the board had much discussion about the student dress code and what the current policy allows and doesn’t allow. Eventually, the board came to the conclusion that the current dress code does not specify banning “athletic wear” like windbreaker pants and sweat pants. Semi overturns on East Highway 18; crews cleaning up fuel leak

An 18-wheeler overturned while turning onto East Highway 18 from Murphy Express Wednesday afternoon. At 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, crews were cleaning up the area. No injuries were reported.
