Jacqueline Kerney Welspom announced this week that she will be a candidate for the office of Mississippi County Tax Collector. She said that she will run as an independent candidate. Welspom said that she worked for almost four years as a “deputy clerk” in the Pike County Tax Collector’s Office. She said that she has also been an “administrative assistant” at the University of Arkansas and a “management team lead” at Tractor Supply...

Thursday morning, Justice of the Peace Jo Ann Henton announced that she will be seeking re-election to the Mississippi County Quorum Court. She currently serves as the Justice of Peace for District 7. Henton has served on the Quorum Court for the past two years and is the court’s only female justice...
