Tow driver avoids injury in truck fire (Local News ~ 05/01/16)
A tow truck driver escaped injury when his rig went up in flames around 4:30 p.m. Sunday near the north Blytheville exit on Interstate 55. According to State Trooper Brandon Bennett, while driving down the interstate, the man noticed a spark coming from the dash and pulled over to check it out. "As soon as he got out of the truck, it went up in flames," Bennett said. A malfunctioning turbo backfiring reportedly caused the blaze.
