There are many things we all do -- right things and wrong things. Too often, we just let things ride, because, we just do.

Someone once said, "Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in."

Mrs. Donnie Jean Benton, 77, of Memphis, passed from this life Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

Mrs. Betty Dapthlene Riggs, 71, of Manila, the widow of Mr. Ronald Wayne Riggs, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at her home.

Mary Ellen Copeland, 89, of Leachville, died Friday March 8, 2013, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
