Special agents with the Second Judicial Drug Task Force arrested three men on Aug. 20 who are suspected of attempting to manufacture methamphetamines.

Heavy damage was reported by the Blytheville Fire Department in a blaze which took out part of a junk store and apartment building at 441 S. 21st St. in Friday's early morning hours.

Sheryl Denise Williams, 40, of Blytheville, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

This week's Pet of the Week at the Blytheville Humane Society is "Selima," a young, female German Shepherd/Otterhound mix. Selima has grown up in the shelter, but is a sweet girl who loves attention. I have been meaning to comment to the Kinder Morgan commentary for weeks now and am finally getting around to it. For as much money as Kinder Morgan is wililng to invest in creating a riverside view, I wish they would invest half that money to pick up the massive amounts of scrap metal that is dropped along the route from Teneris Hickman to Kinder Morgan. ...

This speaks volumes about the people who really care about this city and the direction it is going. You know, when we started asking pastors for their help and leadership in this, we knew we wouldn't get all of them...
