Louise (Tina) Williams Heard

Friday, May 5, 2023

Louise (Tina) Williams Heard was born the sixth child to David Lee and Josiephine Hackett Williams on May 5, 1953, in Dell, both of whom preceded her in death, along with brothers, David Lee Williams Jr., Joel Williams, Larry D. Williams, Alvie Williams, and grandson LaDarius Heard.

After moving to Blytheville, Tina along with her other siblings, attended Franklin Elementary School and Harrison High School, singing in the choir, playing basketball, cheerleading and was a member of the Honor Society among other things. On Jan. 28, 1975, she united in holy matrimony to Sylvester (Main) Heard who preceded her in death by six days. To this union Terrance was born.

Tina confessed a hope in Christ at an early age, was baptized and spent her life serving New Bethel Church in many capacities, such as a Sunday school teacher, Beautifying Club, finance secretary, trustee and over the years as choir president, choir director and song leader. She loved her church and church family. She will be greatly missed!

Tina was an employee of Southwestern Bell (AT&T) for 39 years, until she retired to help family. She was kind, empathetic, passionate and always willing to help anyone in need. Tina was very goal oriented, and worked hard after retirement to get her bachelors in health sciences. She spoke up for the things that she believed in. She had her own “indescribable” sense of humor and would make you laugh by just being herself! She loved to travel, find good food, cook to share with family, sing, dance and shop! And she kept very busy doing all of it!

Her memories will be cherished by her only child, Terrance L. Heard, and his wife, Erica; one grandson, Jaylen Heard; two brothers, James E. Williams and Rev. Johnny L. Williams; three sisters, Lucial Williams, Annie B. Dargan and Sandra Whitfield;two brothers-in law, Larry S. Williams and Jeffrey Dargan; sisters-in-law, Ellen Riley Bunton, Linda F. Williams, Gloria J. Williams, Rosie Williams, Jerlean Williams and Yolanda Renee Williams. She also leaves a nephew whom she helped to raise that was very dear to her, Andre B. Whitfield, a special goddaughter, Hope Ray; her SWB, Mickie, Imogene, Sondra, Cynthia and Donna, also her road buddy Pat; one uncle and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends and extended family. She will be missed, but we will see her again in heaven.

Visitation was held Saturday, April 29, from 12:00 (noon) until 12:55 at New Bethel M.B. Church in Blytheville. Funeral service followed at 1:00 p.m. Interment was in Blytheville.

Final arrangements were entrusted to Gary Wolfe at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home and Cremations, 634 W. Main Street, Blytheville. AR 72315, 870-900-0010.
