Booker T. Windmon, Sr.

Booker T. Windmon, Sr., 87, of Osceola passed away March 4, 2023, at Baptist Health Center in Little Rock. He was a farmer, member of Greater Macedonia MB Church in Wilson and deacon for 35 plus years. Mr. Windmon was born April 24, 1935, in Carson Lake to Hughie and Bettie Windmon. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Essie Windmon; one daughter, Alice Davis; four brothers, Charlie Windmon, Hughie Windmon, Jr., Fred Windmon and Samuel Windmon; two sisters, Rodella Anderson and Betty Ann Forrester.

He is survived by two sons, Booker T. Windford, Jr. of Raeford, N.C., and Eric (Sheila) Windmon of Sherwood; three daughters, Doris (Andrew) Littleton and Lisa (James) Marshall of Osceola, and Pamela Windmon of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Harvey (Vonnie) Windmon of Markhem, Ill., and Leroy (Ora) Windmon of Palm Bay, Fla.; one sister, Odessa (Arthur) Cook-Vincent of Westland, Mich.; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, March 10, 5-7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. The funeral will be Saturday, March 11, at 2 p.m. at Greater Macedonia MB Church in Wilson. Burial will be at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola with Rev. Bryant Whitted officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola will be in charge of the services.
