Kenneth Allen Carmichael

Kenneth Allen Carmichael, 67, of Monette, passed from this life Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, from injuries received in an auto accident. Born in Leachville, he was the son of the late Vernie H. “Mutt” and Irene Wilson Carmichael and had attended Manila Public Schools. A lifelong northeast Arkansas resident, Kenny was a former longtime employee of Wildy Farms and had been an employee of Howard Funeral Service since 2020. He enjoyed dancing, family gatherings and attending his grandchildren’s ballgames. Kenny attended the First Baptist Church in Leachville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Gerald Carmichael, Paul Carmichael, Gary Carmichael and infant, Hassel Ray Carmichael.

Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Brenda Laffoon Carmichael of the home; one son, Chad Carmichael of Leachville; one daughter, Chasity Carmichael Eno of Leachville; one brother, Ronnie Carmichael (Teresa) of Manila; four sisters; Frances Lancaster (Paul) of Leachville, Louise Wilbanks (Junior) of Jonesboro, Mary Morris (Cliff) of Leachville, Kimberly Shirley (Earnest) of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Rebecca Holt (Dennis), Nicholas Carmichael, William Carmichael, Preston Dunn; and six great-grandchildren, Camille Carmichael, Olivia Holt, Kayden Holt, Charleigh Smith, Parker Smith and Lleyton Blake.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. David Price and Rev. Graig Stull officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Friday from 12:30-2 p.m. Active pallbearers will be Nicholas Carmichael, William Carmichael, Preston Dunn, Dennis Holt, James Carmichael, Kayden Holt and Sonny Murphy. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Jones, Mike Willyerd, Ricky Willyerd and Benny Willyerd.
