Barbara Ann Boatman

Barbara Ann Boatman of Blytheville was born Jan. 4, 1968, in Memphis, Tenn., to Aubrey Boatman and Lenten Grayson Boatman. Barbara was a graduate of Blytheville High School and was employed at Abilities Unlimited. She was a member of True Gospel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Carl Rogers.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Morgan; her sisters, Emma and twin sister Beverly. Barbara passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, in St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 55.

She is survived by two daughters, Dasonja (Paul) Smith of Blytheville and Saqueila Boatman of Malden, Mo.; one brother, Calvin Boatman of Blytheville; two sisters, Celestine (Benny) Holliman and Katherine Boatman, both of Blytheville; an uncle, George Grayson, of Jonesboro and an aunt, Mattie Grayson, of Chicago, Ill.; eight grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitations will be held Saturday, Jan. 14, from 12:00 until services begin at 2:00 p.m. at True Gospel Missionary Baptist Church, 1604 West Rose Street, Blytheville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m.

Reverend Carl Rogers is the pastor and will deliver the eulogy, with burial to follow in Sandy Ridge Cemetery.
