Barbara Cook Lacer

Barbara Cook Lacer, 76, of Cooter, Mo., passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2023, at her home.

Barbara was born in Kennett, Mo., to Fred and Mamie Scott Cook. She was a homemaker and attended Cooter United Methodist Church. Barbara was very active in her children’s school activities and she enjoyed time around the pool with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Cook.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Roger Lacer of the home; children, Kim Yates (Kenny) and Kevin Lacer (Susan); grandchildren, Kody Lacer (Lani), Kyle Lacer, Jace Murphy (Kaeleigh) and Lauryn Murphy; great-granddaughter, Carsen; sisters, Sandra Flowers (Benny) and Mickie Radabaugh; and special nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, Jan. 12, at 2 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Lacer officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Barbara’s honor to VNA Hospice Care, 1124 Independence Ave., Kennett, Mo. 63857.
