Debra Ann Hollis Thompson

Debra Ann Hollis Thompson was born Dec. 14, 1959, in Osceola to James Hollis, Sr. and Dorothy Jacobs Hollis. Debra was a member of New Life Global Ministries where she served as an usher and the church secretary under the pastorage of Elder Rodney Richardson. She received her BS degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and continued her education by receiving her master’s degree from UT Memphis. Debra was employed by the Arkansas Department of Human Services as a mental health therapist. Debra truly loved spending time with her family, she enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Hollis, Sr. and Dorothy Jacobs Hollis. Debra passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., at the age of 62.

Debra leaves to cherish precious memories her husband, Joe Thompson of the home; two sons, Taris Randolph and Jeremy (Kanisha) Randolph, both of Little Rock; one daughter, Renesia (Joe Maggett) Randolph of Elkhorn, Neb.; four brothers, Tony (Constance) Hollis of Blytheville, Donald (Linda) Hollis, Delaney (Rochelle) Hollis, all of Osceola, and Gregory (Rose) Hollis of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Chrisena Hollis of Luxora and Brenda Reed of St. Louis, Mo.; eight grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at New Life Global Ministries, 100 East Ford Street, Osceola. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon at New Life Global Ministries, Elder Rodney Richardson is the pastor and will deliver the eulogy with interment to follow in Whiteside Gardens Cemetery.
