Verla L. Harris-Brown

Verla L. Harris-Brown, 96, formerly of Luxora, passed away Dec. 9, 2021, in Decatur, Ga. She was a homemaker and joined Beulah MB Church in Decatur. MS. Brown was born Sept. 9, 1925, in Atwell to Louis and Elnora Johnson Simpson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alton Harris, Sr., two sons, two daughters, one brother and four sisters.

She is survived by a faithful and devoted husband of eight years, Ralph Brown, nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Wednesday, Dec. 22, from 12-2 p.m. with the funeral at 2 p.m. at New Salem MB Church in Luxora. Burial was at Luxora Cemetery in Luxora with Rev. McArthur Hampton officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola was in charge of arrangements.
