Kaye Lynn Ray, 66, of Jonesboro, passed from this life Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Tulsa, Okla., Kaye lived most of her life in Blytheville before moving to Jonesboro in 2007. She was a 1973 graduate of Dell High School and was a very talented artist who enjoyed oil paintings and had several pieces in private collection.

Kaye retired from Trinity Lighting in 2020. She was a very hard worker and fiercely independent. She was an avid reader and enjoyed needlepoint and working crossword puzzles. Kaye enjoyed traveling and was a loving daughter and devoted caregiver to her mother. She was of the Pentecostal faith and dearly loved her nephews and nieces. Kaye was preceded in death by her parents, Rondal and Melba Duvall Ray.

Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Walter Jordan of Blytheville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger L. and Dianna Ray and Don and Jennifer Ray, all of Jonesboro; four nieces; three nephews; seven great-nieces and five great-nephews; an aunt who Kaye spoke to every day, Martha Holland of Hurst, Texas; and an uncle and his wife, Donald and Pauletta Duvall of Newark, Ohio.

A private graveside service will be held in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
