Doug Qualls

Doug Qualls, 80, of Paragould and formerly of Blytheville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Doug was born in Burdette to Jimmie and Frances Croslow Qualls and was a 1959 graduate of Blytheville High School. He was a safety consultant and was the owner and operator of DQCS. Doug was currently still enjoying his career as a safety consultant with Process Safety Management at the Houston Ammonia Terminal in Houston, Texas. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Doug had a big heart for everyone and he never met a stranger. He loved to spend time with his family who loved him dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Darrell and James Qualls.

Doug is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sybil Neal Qualls of the home; daughters, Trina Barber and her husband Timmy of Blytheville and Britney Qualls of Jonesboro; sister, Sybil Lindley of Ormond Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 3, at 10:30 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Rigney and Rev. L.V. Rigney officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
