Jimmie Lou Hout, 83, of Paragould, former longtime Monette resident and widow of Joe Lynn Hout, passed from this life Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, at her home. Born in Monette to the late John M. and Nola Hutcheson Hill, she was a 1956 graduate of Monette High School and had lived most of her life in Monette. She was a longtime employee of General Electric in Jonesboro where she worked as a supply chain coordinator until her retirement. A Paragould resident since 2009 she was a member of the Griffin Memorial United Methodist Church and served several years as a Court Appointed Special Advocates volunteer on behalf of neglected and abused children. She enjoyed reading, dancing, gardening and working crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, John M. Hill, Jr.

She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Holland (Mike) of Imboden and Julie Brown (Philip) of Conway; grandchildren, Sarah and John Cooper, and Amanda and Kyle Jaques; great-grandchildren, Emily, Katie, Luke, and Eli Cooper, and Holland and James Jaques; one sister, Wanda Mays of Paragould; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Watkins of Jonesboro and Neala Hoch of Clermont, Fla.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Jason Sutfin officiating. Burial will follow in Macey Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 12:30 until service time at the funeral home. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.
