Ernestine Royster, 84, of Cordova, Tenn., passed away Nov. 14, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She was a retired factory worker and a former member of Bethlehem M.B. Church in Osceola and member of St. John M.B. Church in Sacramento, Calif. Ms. Royster was born Jan. 29, 1937, in Buena Vista, Miss., to John Walker and Fannie Blanchard. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband L.C. Royster Sr.; one son, L.C. Royster Jr.; and one brother, Robert Walker.

She is survived by one son, Thomas Walker of Jonesboro; four daughters, Brenda (Herbert Smith) Royster of Sacramento, Calif., Daphne (Timothy Jones) Royster of St. Louis. Mo., Rhonda Royster of Sacramento, Calif., Kimberly (Bobby) Williams of Cordova, Tenn.; one granddaughter raised as a daughter, Stephanie Young of Osceola; two brothers, Charles Roseburgh of Flint, Mich., and James Walker of New Jersey; three sisters, Mary Robinson of Chicago, Ill., Jewel Meal of Houston, Miss., Dorothy Haynes of St. Louis, Mo.; 13 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 27, from 12:00 noon to 2 p.m. with the funeral to follow at Bethlehem M.B. Church in Osceola. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with Dr. Moses Black officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge of arrangements.
