Judith Adrian Rodgers

Judith Adrian Rodgers (Judy), 74, went home to Heaven to meet her Lord and Savior face to face Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021.

Judy was born in Blytheville to Hilda and Homer Webster, and was raised by her mother and stepfather, Billy Bryan.

Judy lived in Blytheville in her early years and then moved with her family at a young age to the Chicago area. After graduating from Lockport West High School in 1965, she moved to Washington, D.C., to work with the FBI for one year. She held several interesting jobs over the years, but her favorite job was working as a long-distance phone operator for the Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company of Virginia. In January of 1967 she returned to Romeoville, Ill., to be closer to family. Judy married her long-time sweetheart Jerry Lee Rodgers on August 31, 1967. They later relocated to Armorel.

Judy was a devoted Christ follower and she lived her life serving her Savior and those around her. Over the years, she enjoyed teaching children Bible verses at AWANA and singing in the church choir on Sundays. She often ministered to others by writing and sending cards with notes of encouragement. One of her many talents was baking and decorating cakes and she shared her gift of baking with many at church functions and birthdays throughout the years. Baking was one of many ways she showed her love and care to those around her.

Judy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and loved by many throughout the Blytheville and Armorel communities, where she lived most of her years. If you stopped in to visit her at home, she would most likely have gospel music playing in the background and tell you about the time she met Elvis or about how proud she was of her two sons, Jerry Lee and Bobby.

Judy will be greatly missed, but we rejoice knowing that she found victory in Jesus and is healed and whole in heaven, singing praises to her Savior.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Jerry Rodgers; mother Hilda Webster, father Homer Webster, stepfather Billy Bryan and sister Elsie Webster Ennis.

Judy is survived by her sons, Jerry Lee Rodgers II (Dellinnia) of Russellville and Bobby Rodgers (Sarah) of Bentonville; five grandchildren, Kylar, Marlee, Eli, Carson and Stella; brothers, Mickey Webster of Greenville, Tenn., and Billy Alan Bryan (Roberta) of Joliet, Ill.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Judy with all who knew her will be at Armorel Baptist Church on Nov. 13 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at Armorel Baptist Church. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
