Jerry O. Scrape, 93, passed away Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021.

A resident of Blytheville for all but one year of his life, he farmed in the Dogwood Community and was owner of Scrape Fabricating Works. A talented musician, he played trumpet and drums with Bill Hurst, Bob Bevington, and J.P. Holland and the Blytheville Community Band. He was also a devoted animal lover and was often seen in local businesses accompanied by any one of his beloved dogs. He was a 1947 graduate of Burdette High School and a member of the Main and 13th Church of Christ.

He was predeceased by his parents, G.F. and Mary Springer Scrape; brothers, Horace, Otto, and J. F. “Jinx” Scrape; half-brother, Ricky Scrape; wife, Dorothy Moore Scrape, wife Elouise Weathers Scrape; sons-in-law, Ken Robertson and Ben Hill; and grandson, Jordan Hill.

Jerry is survived by daughters, Barbara Scrape Robertson of Bartlett, Tenn., and Susie Scrape Hill of Woodstock, Ga.; granddaughter, Jennifer Hill; grandsons, Todd Robertson (Stephanie), Chad Robertson (Misty), and Charlie Hill; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Parker, and Brinley Robertson; and honorary grandchildren, Taylor and Bailey Witt.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 8, at 12:00 noon in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Colton Lively officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, from 11 a.m. until service time also at Cobb Funeral Home.
