Danny Joe Bratcher of McKinney, Texas passed away Oct. 4, 2021, at the age of 81. He was born on June 26, 1940, to James Edward Bratcher and Geraldine (Sigers) Bratcher in Blytheville. Joe married Judy Friedl on Oct. 12, 1963 in Little Rock. He was a retired teacher and coach after graduating from The University of Central Arkansas. He later obtained his Master's Degree from Arkansas State University. Joe had true passion and natural gift for teaching, coaching and helping others. He never met a stranger and enjoyed getting to know people. Joe sincerely loved reconnecting with students and players from his many decades of being involved in the lives of young people. His passion for life was evident in his strong work ethic, his natural ability to make others smile and laugh, and his true love for The Lord.

Joe served on mission trips from Arkansas, Kansas, West Virginia to Mexico. Praising Jesus, through his beloved Gospel music, was a daily part of his life. Sports always played a huge part in his life, from "playing ball" as a kid through his college years to having coached football, baseball, basketball and soccer in his career. He loved all sports, but especially his Arkansas Razorbacks and Dallas Cowboys.

Joe is survived by his wife, Judy Bratcher of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Kim Roper and husband, Doug of McKinney, Texas; son, Joel Bratcher and wife, Olga of Naples, Italy; grandsons, Jeff Ochs, Bradley Bratcher and wife, Briana, Joshua Bratcher and Benjamin Bratcher; granddaughter, Olivia Bratcher; great-granddaughter, Nora Bratcher; brother, James Bratcher of Corpus Christi, Texas; and sister, Nancy Bratcher of McKinney, Texas; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Geraldine Bratcher; brother, Norman Bratcher and his sister, Peggy Tirey.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 10, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
