Essie Lee Smith

Essie lee Smith was born to the late Ben and Elnora Russell Woodard on Sept. 16, 1927, in Round Pond, Ark. She was a factory worker. Mrs. Smith passed away Sept. 30, 2021, at her home in Cincinnati, Ohio. She married Dewitt Smith and to this union 10 daughters and four sons were born. Oneal Jordan,(deceased) of Blytheville, LeBertha McClair (deceased) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mary Ann Smith of Blytheville, Dora Mae Smith (deceased) of Lansing, Mich., DeeCeasar Smith (deceased) of Blytheville, Rosena Smith (deceased) of Lansing, Mich., Elnora Smith of Joiner (deceased), Luella (Ebb) Cooper of Cincinnati, Ohio, Timmie Lee (Tracy) Smith of Gosnell, Hattie Mae (Robert) Malone , Sandra Ann Smith of Valdosta, Ga., Alexander Dewitt (Rosalyn) Smith of Decatur, Ala., Sherry Lynn Smith of Valdosta, Ga., Laverne Smith of Blytheville, Raymond Webb (Christie) Smith of Blytheville. Five siblings! Hattie Mae Evans (deceased), Arron Walker (deceased) of Gary, Ind., LA Thomas of Las Vegas, Nev., Earlene Joe Labus of Las Vegas, Nev., Theodore Miller (deceased) of Chicago, Ill.

The visitation will be held Oct. 9, from 9-10 a.m. at Saint Paul M.B. Church in Blytheville, with the funeral immediately following at 10 a.m. The burial will be held at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
