Doris Helen Perkins

Doris Helen Perkins, 96, of Blytheville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Doris was born in Blytheville to Will and Margaret Bishop Perkins. She was a graduate of Gosnell High School and was of the Baptist faith. Doris was a former employee of S.H. Kress and Company, Sterling Five and Dime, West Department Store and Wal-Mart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight brothers, Henry Perkins, Logan Perkins, James Perkins, Russell Perkins, Finley Perkins, Bill Perkins, Frank Perkins and Gene Perkins; and five sisters, Elizabeth Reece, Bessie Sharp, Virgie Richardson, Dorothy Reed and Betty Swain.

Doris passed away surrounded by her nephew, Gary Swain and his wife Sandra; and nieces, Pat Penn, Nancy Raspberry, Sharon Quast and Cherie Askue. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, face masks are to be worn inside of the building.
