Mildred Smith Fultz

Mildred Smith Fultz of Jonesboro was born June 19, 1937, in Marshallville, Ga., to the late Peggy Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope M.B. Church for 50 years where she served on the mother board. Mrs. Fultz passed away on Aug. 29, 2021, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Smith; her husband, John Lee Fultz, Sr.; one son, John Lee Fultz, Jr.; and daughters, Dorothy Guyton and Murry Soward.

She is survived by five daughters, Kathlene Cotton (Isaac) and Joan Fultz (R.C. Johnson), both of Jonesboro, Earlene Walker and Mildred Fultz, both of Killeen, Texas, and Linda Payne of Little Rock; 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 11, from 12-2 p.m. at Holy Temple Church of the Lord Jesus in Blytheville with the funeral immediately following at 2 p.m., Bishop Vancell Lucas officiating. The burial will be held at New Hope Cemetery in Yarbro. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
