Virginia “Ginger” Faye Perkins Tacker, 77, of Tyronza, born Dec. 27, 1943 to Chester and Gladys Perkins, entered peacefully into Heaven on Aug. 17, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Carol June Perkins and Sandra Kay Green; her brother, Chester Aaron Perkins, Jr.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years, Ralph Tacker; two sons, David Tacker (Vivian) and Mark Tacker (Hayley); two daughters, Debbie Beley and Kim Teague (Jeff); one sister, Kathy Gray (Ken); 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two more on the way.

Ginger was a member of the Marked Tree Church of God where she was the pianist for several years and blessed so many people with her amazing voice in the choir or with The Trio, a group with her mother and sister.

She was the ultimate caregiver and nurturer, never thinking of herself, but always her husband, children, grandchildren, and her late parents.

Ginger was a “people person”, a big hugger, and always had a smile on her face that would light up a room.
