Manila Blazin’ BBQ postponed

Tuesday, August 31, 2021

Manila Fire Chief Brandon Bollinger announced the Sept. 11 Blazin BBQ Festival has been postponed until April of 2022.

Due to multiple competitors and vendors canceling due to Covid there is no way to host the festival this year.

“We hope to host it in April of 2022,” Bollinger said.

Bollinger said they will be contacting competitors, vendors and sponsors over the next two weeks.

“As of right now, we are planning to have the Run to Remember 5K and 10K race, but that will be the only event conducted on Sept. 11, 2021,” Bollinger said. “We hope everyone will understand and plan on next year’s event. Many volunteer hours have been put into this year’s festival. Hopefully, 2022 will be the biggest festival we have ever had.”
