Roger Dale VanDyke

Roger Dale VanDyke, 68, of Blytheville, passed from this life on Friday, Aug. 20, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Roger was born in Cooter, Mo., to Roger Lilbourne “R.L” and Fronia Hatley VanDyke. Roger was a dedicated, retired heavy equipment operator at Blytheville Sheet Metal for 40 years and a member of New Liberty Baptist Church. Roger loved spending as much time outdoors as possible and was an avid hunter and a great fisherman. Roger also loved a good game of poker and competition pool and was very talented at both. His love for family far outweighed his other interests as he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Roger was preceded in death by his beloved mother and father and siblings, Sherry Moore, Marcus Anthony VanDyke and Randy VanDyke.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Beverly Huffstutler VanDyke of the home; daughter, Christi Anderson and her husband Brett of Colorado; grandchildren, Devin Ford and wife Ashley of Lorado, Christopher Pate and fiance Chelsey McGhee of Manila, Katelyn Pate of Colorado and Justin Pate of Kansas City, Mo.; great-grandchildren, Reagan Elizabeth Ford of Lorado, Kenndale Hollens Robinson of Colorado and Kailynn Morgan of Manila; brothers, Chris VanDyke of Blytheville, Jerry Bob VanDyke of Blytheville; and several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. 

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Aug. 24, from 10-11 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. A private graveside committal service will be held in the Dogwood Mausoleum in Dogwood Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
