Charita Mercedes Jones

Charita Mercedes Jones, 65, of Lepanto, died July 7, 2021, at her home. She was a CNA and of the Methodist faith. Ms. Jones was born March 24, 1956, in Lepanto to Nobce Joplin Sr. and Queen Esther Ryan. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Jones and sister Elsa Marquise Monk. 

She is survived by one son, Clifton Jones of Lepanto; one daughter, Christina Joplin of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, James Michael Joplin of Jonesboro and Nobce Joplin Jr. of West Memphis; one sister, Wanda Lee Bell of Lepanto; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

Funeral service was July 17 at First Missionary Baptist Church in Lepanto with Reverend Larry Bell officiating. 

Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza was is in charge of arrangements.
