Mildred L. (Cromwell) Johnston

Mildred L. (Cromwell) Johnston, 95, of Red Bud, Ill., born July 9, 1925, in Harrisburg, Ark., died June 9, 2021.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Russell Cromwell and Mary nee Cleamer; a brother, Roy Cromwell; and a sister, Gladys French.

She is survived by sons, Jerry (special friend, Cindy Mills) Johnston of Belleville, Ill., and Tom (Lori) Johnston of Red Bud, Ill.; daughter, Margie (Dale) Kulessa of Smithton, Ill.; grandchildren, Shelly (Jason) Augustin, Joe (Jamie) Kulessa, Mary (Randy) Schmitt, Mindy (Chad) Fuhrhop , Shauna (Tim) Blair, Katie (Tom) Johnston, Jay (Lindsey) Johnston, Sara Johnston, Christopher Johnston, Elisabeth (Mark) Schaefer, Leah Johnston, Kaleigh Johnston, Lindsey Johnston and Dan (Mandy) Karban; great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Jack, Dylan, Brendan, Mary Kate, Drew, Nathan, Anthony, Kara, Addy, Lucas, Landon, Nolan, Evalyn, Claire, Rory, Kye, Maci, Brody, Haven and Brynlee.

Mom enjoyed cooking... if you had a fork placed to your mouth you didn't ask questions until after tasting!

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, June 17, at Valhalla Gaerdner-Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill., with the funeral following at 6 p.m.

Burial will be private at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
