Willie Jackson “Jack” Welch

Willie Jackson “Jack” Welch of Kennett, Mo., was born Nov. 15, 1938, in Monticello, Miss., to the late Wiley Marvin Welch and the late Bertha Givens Welch. He was a retired factory worker and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Welch passed away June 9, 2021, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 82. He was preceded in death by his father, Wiley Marven Welch; mother, Bertha Givens Welch; two brothers, Lucky Hedgepeth and Marvin Welch, Jr.; and one sister, Minnie Effie Byrd.

He is survived by his wife, Flossie Herren Welch of Kennett, Mo.; son Steven Welch of Kennett, Mo.; three daughters, Pamela Sargent of Kennett, Mo., Karen Suthern of Mount Pleasant and Susan Eubanks of Cabot; two sisters, Nell Reeder of Pearl, Miss., Nina McLend of Dallas, Texas; and six grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, June 12, 2 p.m., at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville with Bro. Gary Andrews officiating. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
