Connie Darlene Thompson was born Dec. 4, 1967, to the late Ruby Williams and Don Ray Moore. Connie, departed this life on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 53. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Jean Williams; fathers, Don Ray Moore and Cornelius Williams; sister, Debbie Ann Hooks; grandmother, L.V. Cannon; grandfather, Garfield Cannon Sr.; uncles, Garfield Cannon Jr., Joe Willie Cannon, Robert T. Cannon, Eugene Cannon and Elder Larry Cannon; aunts, Mary Louse Palmer and Loistine Jones.

Connie accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Worship Center under the leadership of Bishop Gregory Brown.

Connie leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Judge Thompson of Osceola; son, Rasheed (Melissa) Thompson of Indianapolis, Ind.; stepson, Minister Chris (Connie) Thompson of Dyersburg, Tenn.; brother, Ronnie (Linda) Williams of Blytheville; two sisters, Teresa Williams of Osceola and Vanita Chism of Milwaukee, Wis.; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Thompson and Bessie Thompson of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers-in-law, Joe Scott of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Robert Fleming of San Francisco, Calif.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a true friend, Liz Alexander; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 30, from 12 (noon) until 12:55 p.m., at New Mt. Pleasant Christian Worship Center in Osceola. Services will follow at 1 p.m., burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.

Due to COVID-19, face masks are required to be worn and practice social distance.
