Ricky Lynn Bowling

Ricky Lynn Bowling, 67, of Blytheville, went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 16, 2021, at Gosnell Therapy and Living Center.

Ricky was born in Armorel to James and Eva Alsup Bowling and was a retired night manager and auditor for Hampton Inn and Suites in Memphis. He loved the Lord with all of his heart and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Ricky enjoyed shooting guns, reading, writing and was excellent at drawing. He was a people person and never met a stranger. He had a great memory and could always remember everyone’s names. Ricky loved his family and enjoyed watching movies with his sons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jason Bowling; and brother, Jimmy Bowling.

Ricky leaves his wife, Vickie Smith Bowling of the home; sons, Joshua Bowling of Olive Branch, Miss., and Jacob Bowling of Memphis, Tenn.; sisters, Terri Bowling and Cheryl Bowling, both of Blytheville; sisters-in-law, Sandy Torvinen of Florida, Sue Maas of Michigan and Melissa Malone of Mississippi; aunt, Janet Mullins of Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and a great-nephew who loved him dearly.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 22, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Welch and Rev. Chas Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church. Included in Ricky’s service, there will be a memorial service held for his brother, Jimmy, who went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2020.
