Elvie Lee Riggins, Jr. was born Jan. 14 1978 in Blytheville to Elvie R. Riggins, Sr. and Joann Fultz. Elvie was a graduate of Blytheville High School class of 1996 and was employed at Pollard Pallets.

He was a member of Wellsprings Assembly of God Church under the leadership of Pastor Ryan Martin.

Elvie was an encourager, motivational speaker and author. His book “Real Talk Crazy Faith” inspired the community of Blytheville with inspirations designed to help uplift people at their lowest points in life letting them know that no matter their circumstances keep living it can and will get better and that faith will sustain you in the toughest times of your life.

Elvie was preceded in death by his father, Elvie L. Riggins, Sr. He passed away Monday, May 10, 2021, in his home at the age of 43.

Elvie leaves to forever cherish his memory his wife Kimber Riggins of the home; three daughters, Sakiya Riggins of Jonesboro, Elvionia Riggins of Blytheville and Kourtnee Riggins of the home; his mother, Joan (R.L.) Johnson of Blytheville; his grandmother, Mrs. Mildred Fultz of Blytheville; his father-in-law, Reverend Richard (Edna) Houston of Sikeston, Mo.; his mother-in-law, Deborah (Andrew) Robinson of Blytheville; one brother-in-law, Ragan Houston of Jonesboro; three sisters-in-law, LaDonna Houston, Stacie (Robert) Pollard and Cherri (Edwin) Muldrew, all of Blytheville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 14, from 5-7 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, 600 East McHaney Street, Blytheville, where Reverend Odale Jones is the pastor.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 15, at 12:00 noon at First Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Chavis Spann will deliver the eulogy with burial to follow at Memory Garden’s Cemetery.
