Floyd Jackson “Jack” Mooney, Jr., 71, of Dell, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021, at his home.

Jack was born in Blytheville to Floyd “Bud” and Mildred Eades Mooney. He was a retired truck driver and of the Baptist faith. Jack served his country with honor in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam war where he received the Purple Heart medal. He was a former member of the American Legion and the VFW. Jack enjoyed watching western movies, riding his Harley motorcycles and playing cards with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Gene Mooney.

Jack leaves his wife of 50 years, Lorraine Woodward Mooney of the home; three children, Tosha Parker and husband Tim of Whitehall, Casey Mooney and wife Stacie of Bloomburg, Texas, and Devonie Ann Mooney and Jacob Fricks of Belcher, La.; one brother, Jimmy Mooney and wife Sharon of Ravenden Springs; one sister, Rebecca Neeley and husband John of Huntsville, Texas; and four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Mooney, Brandon Mooney, Jordan Parker and Justin Dance.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, May 5, from 5:00 until 7:00 at Cobb Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 7, at 1:00 p.m. at Bethsaida Cemetery in Ida, La. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
