Evelyn Frances Cashion

Evelyn Frances Cashion, 83 of Jonesboro, former longtime Leachville resident and widow of Joe Cashion, passed from this life Saturday, March 27, 2021, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Leachville to the late John and Ruth Heaton Goodwin she was a 1956 graduate of Leachville High School and had been a lifelong resident of northeast Arkansas. She and her late husband owned and operated the State Farm Insurance Agencies in Leachville and Osceola for many years. Evelyn had been a Jonesboro resident since 1994 and was a member of the Nettleton Church of Christ. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa West in 2018.

Survivors include one son, Jody Cashion of Jonesboro; one daughter, Danita Johnson (Larry) of Walls, Miss.; one sister, Nelldene McFarland of Gallatin, Tenn. She also leaves her grandchildren, Kelli and Seth Waggonner and Jared Hawkins.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Mr. Tim Bassing officiating. The family will receive visitors Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 until service time at the funeral home.
