Walter Taylor, Jr. of Blytheville was born June 26, 1942, in Osceola to the late Walter Taylor, Sr. and the late Lillie B. McNelson Jefferson. He was a factory worker and a church elder and pastor of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Taylor passed away Feb. 17, 2021, at his home in Blytheville at the age of 78. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Taylor, Sr., mother, Lillie B. McNelson Jefferson, and one sister, Sarah Hill.

He is survived by one son, Walter Taylor III of Minneapolis, Minn.; stepson, Blevin Williams of Minneapolis, Minn.; two daughters, Valerie (Aaron) Woodruff and Audrey (David) Thomas, both of Blytheville; two stepdaughters, Diane (Jeffrey) Davis of Jonesboro and Laura Bingham of Tulsa, Okla.; three sisters, Mildred Banks of England, Ark., Etta B. Hale of Maumelle and Dorothy Crutison of Austin, Texas; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 26, from 10-11 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville, with the funeral immediately following at 11 a.m. Walter Taylor III will be officiating. The burial will be held at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
