Fred A. “Joe” Calhoun

Fred A. “Joe” Calhoun, 51, of Blytheville passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sept. 10, 1969, in West Memphis to Arthur L. and Willie Mae Cruz Calhoun. He was a master carpenter. His hobbies were riding his motorcycle, barbecuing, with his family, and shooting guns with his grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Will Ed Calhoun; best friend, Butch Harold; and his mother-in-law, Diane Knight.

He is survived by his wife, Dianna Gail Wren Calhoun, of the home; three children, Angel (Dustin Trammel) Wren, Jesse (Judith Strickland) Wren and Casey Wren; seven grandchildren, Damion Trammel, Jayda Trammel, Jody Trammel, Chole Wren, Karrah Wren, Kash Wren, and Kendel Wren; two brothers, Lyndel Calhoun of West Memphis and Ken Calhoun of Toledo Ohio; three sisters, Dee (Bobby) Barnes of Oklahoma, Tina Majors and Linda Faye Calhoun, both of West Memphis; brothers-in-law, Frankie Knight and David Wren; sister-in-law, Kim Knight, of West Memphis; best friend, Tony (Letty) Arreola, of West Memphis.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 1 p.m. in Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Perkins officiating. Visitation was Tuesday evening 5-7 p.m. at Carney Funeral Home. Burial will be in Carney Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at carneyfuneralhome.com.
