Terry Lee Welch

Terry Lee Welch, 67, of Bassett died Jan. 18, 2021, at his home. He was the city manager for the Lawrence Group in Wilson, of the Baptist faith, 35 plus years baseball and football coach and an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Welch was born Feb. 10, 1953, in West Memphis to Vernon and Tanna Elder Welch. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Patricia Ann Welch, Laura Duck and Kimberly Westbrook.

He is survived by his wife, Jody Welch of Bassett; three sons, Eric (Abby) Welch Rayford, N.C., Morgan (Erin Billings) Welch of Memphis, Tenn., and Joe Louis Ralph of Bassett; two daughters, Patricia (Jonathan) Day of Memphis, Tenn., and Emily (Dillon) Lacy of Tyronza; three brothers, Steve (Diana) Welch of Bassett, Leebo (Teresa) Welch of Marmaduke and P.D. (Donna) Welch of Wilson; one sister, Joyce Martin of Lancaster, S.C.; and 17 grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 20, from 5-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. The funeral will be Thursday, Jan. 21, at Wilson Funeral home in Osceola. Burial will be at Bassett Cemetery in Bassett with Bro. Todd Vinson officiating. Wilson Funeral home in Osceola is in charge.
