Lola Bobo

Lola Bobo was born Dec. 2, 1963, in Blytheville to Otis Murphy Sr. and Selma Bass. Lola was also raised by her stepfather, Clayborn Bass. Lola was a part of the Blytheville School District Class of 1982. In 1996 she married the love of her life, Wendell Bobo, who she was married to for 24 years. Lola loved her family and loved her church. She loved to cook, put together puzzles and read the bible. Lola was a faithful member of Loving Jesus Ministries where she served on the usher board under the leardership of Pastor James Bragg.

Lola began her journey into eternity on Dec. 29, 2020

Lola was preceded in death by her father, Otis Murphy Sr.; a stepson, Wendell Bobo II; stepsisters, Debra Horner and Stephanie Perry; and stepbrothers, Otis Murphy Jr. and Robert Miles.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Wendell Bobo; a daughter, Latosha Houston; a son, Kentrell Bobo; stepsons, Joseph Clark and Derrick Trible; and a daughter/niece, Ebony Moore. She also leaves behind her mother, Selma Bass, and her stepfather, Clayborn Bass. She leaves behind siblings, Sgt. Donald Curry, Clayborn Bass Jr., Rhonda Lee and Pauline Hamin; stepbrothers, Otis Murphy Jr., Beaver and Charles Murphy; and stepsisters, Denise Lee and Jeanetta Murphy. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Kearra Coleman, Keshonna Davis, Dontavius Walker and Wendell Bobo III.

A walk through will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8, with funeral service for family starting at 12:30 p.m. Both services will be held at Loving Jesus Ministries 607 Eldorado Dr., Blytheville. Masks are required.
