Charles Lee Brooks

Charles Lee Brooks was born May 26, 1950, in Blytheville to Henrietta Leverson. Charles departed this life on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020 ,at his home in Blytheville at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Charles pursued a number of career opportunities for advancement improving his skills; however, groceries meat-cutting was his first love, since his early teenage years. At the time of his death, he was retired from full employment. He will be sorely missed.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memories his former wife, Carmen Brooks of Dallas, Texas; one son, Antonio Brooks of Sayer, Okla.; one brother, Jerry L. Leverson (Ruby) of Louisville, Ky.; one niece, Tonia of Louisville, Ky.; two nephews, Jerry D. of Louisville, Ky., and Brent of Bel Air, Md.; three aunts, Ruthie Brooks and Bobbie Brooks, both of Georgia, and Eddie Mae Brooks of Chicago, Ill. He also leaves a host of first cousins from the Bedford Family of Blytheville, the Robinson Family of Cleveland, Ohio, the Savage Family of Dallas, Texas, and the Brooks family of Chicago, Ill.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 6, from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m., at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home & Cremation, 634 W. Main Street, Blytheville. Graveside service and burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette.
