Frances Juanita Patton

Frances Juanita Patton, 99, of Leachville, widow of Vester H. Patton, passed from this life Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, at the Monette Manor Nursing Center. Born and raised in Leachville, Frances was the daughter of the late William Arthur “Ott” and Cordelia Wilson Myracle and had been a lifelong area resident. She had worked many years in the cafeteria of the Brown Shoe Factory, formerly of Leachville. She, along with her late husband, owned and operated Patton’s Pecan Orchard of Leachville until her retirement. She was of the Pentecostal faith, having been a member of the Leachville Church of God, where she served many years as a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed crocheting, but most of all cooking for and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, William Patton, Henry Patton and Franklin Patton; one daughter, Alice Hodges; two grandsons and two great-grandsons; two brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Drury, and her husband Buddy of Tupelo, Miss. She also leaves 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Leachville Cemetery with Rev. Mark Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville. No visitation is scheduled. Online guest register is at www.howardfuneralservice.com.
