Jerry Williamson Gardner

Jerry Williamson Gardner, 91 of Jonesboro, formerly of Blytheville and Memphis, Tenn., peacefully left this world to be with her Savior on Dec. 1, 2020, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born in Cardwell, Mo., a small town in the Missouri Bootheel. Jerry graduated from Cardwell High School in 1947 and attended the University of Arkansas and Office Training School. She loved music and played the piano and organ. Ballroom dancing and playing cards were her favorite pastimes.

Jerry was preceded in death by her father Charles T. Williamson and mother Kitty W. Watson, two brothers, John Williamson (Beth) and Pete Williamson (Manelle).

Survivors include her three sons, Marc Gardner (Bonnie) of Sun City, Fla., Robby Gardner of Jonesboro, and Mac Gardner (Marty) of Memphis, Tenn.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She will greatly miss her longtime and loving companion, Bill Bargery of Memphis, Tenn.

Due to Covid-19, no service will be held. At her request, she will be cremated and her ashes spread at the Williamson family farm in Cardwell. A small family gathering and celebration of life will be held at the farm in the spring of 2021 when her ashes will be spread. The family has requested memorials be sent to the American Diabetes Association.
